7005 Road SL

For the last 15 years I have been a participant on the Tuesday ride here in Santa Cruz. You probably know what kind of ride it is- fast group of riders who have just a little over an hour and 15 minutes to get in 25 miles with 2000′ of climbing. This is the fastest ride that I do, other than racing. The ride is a right of passage in a way as people do get dropped and nobody waits for the dropped riders. The bike, the SL is what I think of as the right tool for the job- this job being the Tuesday ride.

The frame is made from Dedacciai 7000 series shaped and profiled tubes and is the lightest material I currently work with. The idea of the frame is to build something that has an instant response to really hard efforts, is as light as I can build and is also stable at high speeds. I have used a number of frames on the Tuesday ride and the SL is the distillation of those previous frames.

The SL is light, simple and made for rides that test your limits.
